Our Mission
OUR MISSION
Mountain View Assembly is community of redeemed and devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ who choose to
(1) GLOW — reflecting the light, the love, and the life of Christ by submitting to the Word of God and the Spirit of God, in order to be transformed into the likeness of Christ;
(2) GROW — pursuing spiritual maturity by becoming stronger through worship, closer through fellowship, deeper through discipleship, and broader through stewardship (ministry).
(3) GO — reaching out to impact our community, our region, our nation, and our world by proclaiming the gospel of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit through our actions and words;
that God may be glorified.
OUR VALUES
In fulfilling the ministry with which God has entrusted to Mountain View Assembly, we value …
… the Bible, believing the Holy Scriptures to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God and the foundation for all faith and practice.
… the family, recognizing its importance in the plan of God for us and accepting our responsibility to be a source of strength and support to the families placed in our care.
… community, knowing that God has created us to live in relationship with Him and with one another, so that we might become all that He intends us to be.
… intergenerational ministry, being convinced that church is God’s design to show how people of all ages are meant to live, work, and worship together.
… team ministry, being persuaded that the plan of God for the church is that, without regard for personal ambition, His people would do good works and manifest His love in order to bring Him glory.
… missions, acknowledging that the last command of the Lord Jesus Christ, to make disciples of all peoples, remains our first priority.
… music, understanding that God has blessed us with people of unique talents and abilities in order that we might use this gift both to offer worship to Him and to draw others to Him.
